IRP Portal
An internal route optimization portal for AS4226.
IRP observes routing and traffic with BMP and IPFIX, measures path quality across egresses, and helps operators steer prefixes through safer or cheaper paths without putting the controller in the data plane.

Ranks candidate egresses by latency, loss, jitter, cost, and stability before policy makes the final call.
Guardrailed Control
Dry-run by default, with dwell timers, prefix caps, and export guardrails keeping route injection constrained.

Built to support reviewable changes, measured rollouts, and a fast killswitch instead of opaque automation.
Project Summary
- The controller is never in the forwarding path. A controller failure means loss of optimization, not network outage.
- The portal is the operator-facing layer for reviewing path quality, policy decisions, and future live injection behavior.
- The current implementation targets the observability and dry-run phases first, then expands toward controlled live route steering.
